On occasion OPAWC has had the opportunity to assist in projects that address infrastructure and cultural development.  This included the reconstruction project in three villages in Dara-e-Noor district, providing power and water to a population that otherwise had been forgotten.  The archeological project in Shewa district of Nengrahar province addressed a need for Afghanistan to reclaim its identity, which for thirty years has been stripped away.
